Welcome to Marine Biology

Lund University has decided to close the Master programme in Marine Biology at Campus Helsingborg. Students can therefore not be enrolled to the programme starting autumn 2009. The programme will continue through spring 2010 for students already enrolled at Campus. New students are recommended the master programme Aquatic Ecology in Lund, where a corresponding degree can be pursued. Plase contact Lotta Persmark (046-2223728, lotta.persmark@biol.lu.se) for advise and councelling.

Marine Biology includes all marine organisms, from bacteria and algea to fishes and whales, and the interactions between these organisms and the environment. But Marine Biology is also about how man affect and make use of the marine resources.

Marine Biology is an international programme with courses in english, and after two years of studying you can obtain a Master degree in Biology, with specialization in Marine Biologi (120 hp).
